CEENERGI
Central and Eastern European Network for Responsible Giving
Donors´ Fora are the independent associations of grant-makers and resource centers of knowledge about the NGO sector and that´s why they are the ideal platforms for the implementation of this project. Grantmakers collectively are an important link in the process by the role they can play in creating the enabling environment: good philanthropy climate and appropriate giving mechanisms, building capacity for strategic local grant making and encouraging practices which promote grant making as a tool for development and change. Equally important, they are independent associations of grant-makers and do have the extensive knowledge about the non-profit sector within each respective country. The aim of the Donors´ Fora is to link the foundation donor community to the corporate donor community by making the DF to be an umbrella (bridge) among the two sectors and a space and platform for both sides.
CEENERGI mission is to promote good business practice in the area of Corporate Community Investment. We inform and motivate businesses to get involved in their communities (society) and to improve relations among corporate donors, foundations, non-profits and the government.
CEENERGI is
- n etwork that promotes responsible corporate giving and partnerships in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries
- progressive and flexible group of respected partners who bring new perspective to corporate giving by providing independent platform for corporate donors in each country
- the team with solid background and reputation - network of Donors Fora in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, and Russia.
CEENERGI offers:
- local and regional expertise on corporate giving and multi-sector partnerships and information necessary for effective and responsible corporate giving in the region of Central and Eastern Europe
- knowledge about the NGO sector in each CEE country but also information, best-practice and benchmarking from the whole region.
We improve the business giving through organizing events and awards like TOP Corporate Philanthropist awards and conferences on corporate giving.
We work together with the business through joint programs like membership in Corporate giving Clubs and improving media standards for promoting corporate donors.
CEENERGI activitiesin respective countries are implemented by the Czech Donors Forum (www.donorsforum.cz) together with local partners:
- CEENERGI Slovakia - Slovak Donors Forum, CEENERGI Bulgaria - Bulgarian Donors Forum, CEENERGI Romania - Romanian Donors Forum, CEENERGI Ukraine - Ukrainian Grantmakers´ Forum
On the regional level also together with:
- CEENERGI Hungary - Hungarian Donors Forum, CEENERGI Poland - Polish Donors Forum, CEENERGI Russia - Russian Donors Forum
CEENERGI activities comprise of:
- regional ones that aim to initiate strategic corporate giving, promote transparency and accountability of corporate giving, benchmark corporate giving, and demonstrate corporate giving models and best practices on regional level within CEE through informal and efficient network of Donors Fora and
- activities in specific countries that are a set of seminars and events, elaboration and promotion of reports and other PR materials aiming to encourage the development of corporate community involvement through the Donors Fora programs. CEENERGI starts these activities in 4 pilot countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
CEENERGI activities include:
- international conference on corporate giving for CEE countries
- analysis of corporate giving strategies
- work with multinationals located in more then one country in CEE
- comparison of corporate giving data on the regional level and transfer of know-how and best practices across the region
- creating of new understanding of a donor community and atmosphere of trust among the not-for-profit and for-profit community
- developing a platform for the peer-to-peer atmosphere for the corporate representatives at the Donors Fora by establishing the space for cooperation among corporations
